Nettle, a perennial herbaceous plant of the Urticaceae genus, is distributed in central Yunnan, Guizhou, southeastern Sichuan, Hubei, and Zhejiang  province in China. The whole herb of nettle contains various vitamins and tannins. The stem bark mainly contains formic acid, butyric acid, and acidic substances with stimulating effects. Both roots and leaf can be used as medicine.
