Gentiana, a perennial herbaceous plant of the Gentianaceae and Gentiana genus, is native to Inner Mongolia, Northeast China, Shaanxi, Sichuan, Hubei, Anhui, Jiangsu, and other regions.  It contains Gentiopicrin, Swertiamarin, Sweroside, Trifloriside, Amarogenin, Gentiopicroside tetraacetate, and Amarosperin; Gentioflavine, Gentianine, Gentianitine, Gentianitine, Gentianol, Gentianose β- Sitosterol（ β- Sitosterol) etc.
